The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with experience in construction, renovation, and schematic reading. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes such as NEC. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of low and high voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the use of hand tools and power tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment on construction sites and renovation projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations accurately Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment Work with low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently Assist with the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local electrical codes Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry, schematics interpretation, and general maintenance person tasks as needed Maintain a clean work environment and document work performed for project records Experience Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation settings Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving framing carpentry and schematic reading Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair Knowledge of NEC regulations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and safety standards Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively Prior maintenance person experience or related construction experience is a plus This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning. The successful candidate will be adaptable to various project environments and possess strong problem-solving skills.
