McAllen/Mission (RGV Area) Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Journeyman Electrician Helper (Non License) to join our dynamic construction and electrical installation team. In this role, you will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various commercial and industrial projects. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to the successful completion of projects on time and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with installing electrical wiring, conduit, panels, and fixtures on construction sites Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to support electrical installations Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in project execution Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Conduct routine inspections using tools like ohmmeters to ensure proper electrical connections and system integrity Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in industrial or commercial electrical environments is preferred Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters Knowledge of NEC guidelines for low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus Experience working with construction teams on large-scale projects involving framing carpentry or similar trades is advantageous Ability to follow detailed instructions and work safely in high-voltage environments Join us if you're eager to build a solid foundation in electrical work while contributing to impactful projects.
