In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to industrial facilities, utilizing your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, ensuring proper installation according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues efficiently. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes. Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry, renovation projects, and site preparations to ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Conduct inspections on construction sites to verify compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes while maintaining a safe working environment. Use blueprint reading skills to interpret project plans accurately and execute installations accordingly. Perform routine maintenance on existing electrical systems and upgrade outdated wiring or components as needed. Demonstrate handyman experience by addressing miscellaneous repair needs on-site promptly and effectively. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of NEC standards. Skilled in working with schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for precise installations. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and power distribution. Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, along with power tools for efficient work execution. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents accurately. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation tasks. Knowledge of renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or reconfigurations. Strong troubleshooting skills using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters to identify faults quickly. Capable of performing frame carpentry tasks when required for installation support or modifications. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, contractors, and clients throughout project phases.
