Job Description
Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Working with the Melt Shop Electrical Maintenance team to ensure the effective maintenance and optimization of electrical systems, with a primary focus on safety and operational reliability. Responsibilities Responsible for the installation and optimization of both new installations and current equipment. Assist with Troubleshooting and repair of current systems. Maintain general housekeeping standards. Verify monitoring equipment. Assist in calibration. Support in crane troubleshooting and repairs. Work with Level 1 Engineer on HMIs/PLCs/Drives. Understand and follow safety protocols, including: Red Zone 20-foot Rule Cardinal Safety Rules Electrical Safety practices Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment. Identify, design, and implement changes/upgrades that will increase the process's productivity or reliability. Understand the steel-making process and integrate this knowledge with the knowledge of process control systems to improve safety, productivity, quality, and reliability.
