Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Master Electrician (via Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) to lead electrical projects and ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across various construction and ongoing maintenance sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your extensive electrical expertise to industrial facilities. As a Master Electrician, you will oversee complex electrical work, mentor junior journeymen, and ensure all projects adhere to safety standards and electrical codes. Your leadership will be vital in delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. Duties Lead the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage wiring on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical layouts. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system performance. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local safety regulations. Manage the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components for industrial applications. Supervise electrical teams during renovation projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining safety protocols. Conduct inspections of electrical systems for quality assurance, especially in commercial settings involving schematics and detailed wiring plans. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and compliance reports. Train junior electricians on proper use of tools, safety procedures, and technical skills related to low-voltage systems and industrial electrician practices. Experience Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial or commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NEC standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site procedures. Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and renovation projects. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers; power tools like drills; testing instruments including ohmmeters; and various construction site equipment. Demonstrated ability to read technical schematics accurately and implement complex electrical layouts effectively. Previous experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality control. Strong understanding of electrical codes related to both new installations and renovations across diverse environments. Ability to lead teams efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced settings.
