In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilize advanced tools and schematics, and contribute to high-quality electrical installations that power essential operations. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, panels, and systems in commercial and industrial settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts and modifications. Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment to support automation and control functions. Utilize testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Follow NEC guidelines and safety protocols diligently during all phases of installation and maintenance work. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within renovation or new construction projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman license or certification. Demonstrated industrial electrician experience along with commercial electrical background. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power drills, and frame carpentry skills for supporting electrical installations. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics is essential. Ability to use testing equipment such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits. Handyman experience or related skills in general construction or maintenance work is a plus.
