Automotive Electrical Specialist

Job Overview McKinney Truck Equipment is seeking a dependable and skilled Automotive 12 Volt Technician to join our team in Van Alstyne, TX . In this role, you'll install, wire, and troubleshoot 12V electrical systems and accessories on new work trucks, new service vehicles, and new fleet equipment. This is a full-time, hands-on position ideal for someone with automotive or electrical experience who enjoys working with tools and takes pride in doing clean, safe installs. Pay is based on experience. Responsibilities Install 12-volt electrical components such as strobes, work lights, light bars, power inverters, backup cameras, alarms, and auxiliary lighting Read and interpret wiring diagrams, work orders, and build sheets Run wiring safely through vehicles and upfit bodies, ensuring neat and professional installations Diagnose and repair electrical issues Operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines Maintain a clean and organized workspace Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times Requirements 1+ year of experience working with 12V systems (required) Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow instructions Experience with power tools, hand tools, and basic diagnostics Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Reliable and punctual with a good attitude Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Having your own tools (encouraged) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop environment

Pay :

Starting at $20.00 per hour and up depending on experience.
