- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
- Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Report progress, delays, and issues to the project manager or site supervisor. Complete daily logs, time sheets, and other required documentation Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9 hour shift with half day
Friday Overtime Possibilities Compensation:
$20
DOE Requirements:
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to work. Apprentice electrician license required. Minimum one year apprentice electrician experience required, no exceptions. Applicants are required to provide and bring their own hand tools.
Education and Experience:
High school or equivalent (Preferred). Electrical apprenticeship or relevant technical training. Experience with various types of electrical systems (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial). OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
May involve standing for long periods, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy materials or equipment.
Work Environment:
Primarily construction sites, which may include indoor or outdoor environments, with exposure to weather, noise, and various safety hazards.
