Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential settings, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality craftsmanship. Your expertise will help deliver reliable electrical solutions to homeowners, enhancing their comfort and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations, utilizing your technical skills and industry knowledge to make a positive impact in the community. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels in residential properties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical plans Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on various construction sites and renovation projects Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other specialized electrical equipment as needed Conduct inspections following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and handyman services to coordinate project timelines and quality standards Diagnose electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot high voltage or low voltage systems effectively Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven residential electrical experience Demonstrated experience working on construction sites, renovations, or similar environments Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation Familiarity with industrial electrician practices and commercial electrical systems is a plus Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance Join us in delivering top-tier residential electrical solutions!
