Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and residentail sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and project specifications. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction blueprints to accurately execute electrical layouts. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to support industrial automation projects. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Utilize testing instruments such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to NEC standards, high voltage systems, and construction site procedures. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including incident reports and inspection logs. Experience Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site work. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with NEC standards, high voltage systems, renovation projects, and construction environments. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools necessary for electrical installation tasks. Previous experience on construction sites involving framing carpentry or handyman duties is a plus. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to all safety regulations.
