Electrician Helper - Residential

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Electrician Helper to assist an experienced electrician in various electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential electrical environments, working on construction sites, remodels, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work. This position is essential for supporting the successful completion of electrical projects while developing valuable skills in the electrical trade. Duties Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in the residential field Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations on construction sites Operate testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and components Support the setup of high voltage and low voltage systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including working with high voltage systems when required Qualifications A minimum of three years prior experience with residential electrical construction. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and NEC standards is highly desirable Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments is a plus Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is a plus Basic understanding of ohmmeter and other testing equipment for troubleshooting purposes is a plus Strong safety awareness and adherence Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced environments Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to access crawlspaces and attics during all seasons.
