Job Description
Position Summary Marina Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Electrician to join our growing commercial team. We perform commercial electrical construction, renovations, service work, maintenance, low-voltage installations, lighting upgrades, and educational facility projects throughout Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate has commercial service experience, is comfortable working around live/hot wires, and brings a safety-first, professional approach to every job. Pay & Benefits $30-$45/hr, with DOLI scale wages available through December 2026 (up to $60/hr) Medical benefits Paid holidays & vacation Opportunities for advancement and ongoing training Company vehicle opportunities for qualified employees Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment Perform commercial service work, including troubleshooting and repairs around live/energized (hot) circuits following proper safety protocols Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Perform electrical rough-in and finish work Install conduit, wiring, panels, fixtures, devices, and controls Complete service calls and maintenance requests Ensure all work complies with NEC and local codes Maintain accurate daily work reports and time entries Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, including commercial service work Experience working safely around live/hot electrical systems required Experience with commercial construction, renovations/tenant improvements, and low-voltage systems (preferred) Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings Valid driver's license with a clean/excellent driving record (required for company vehicle use) Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work from ladders and lifts Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Requirements Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be authorized to work in the United States Reliable transportation to job sites About Marina Electric Marina Electric, Inc. has proudly served Northern Virginia for over 20 years, providing electrical construction and maintenance services to schools, universities, government facilities, and commercial clients.
