Job Description

Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices nationwide. We partner with businesses and jobseekers to place qualified individuals efficiently. Currently, CTS is reviewing resumes for Marine Electricians in Mobile, AL. •Per diem available for qualified candidates - $180/day•
Responsibilities:
Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Responsible for layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ship's power. Follow blueprints to construct and install instrument panels using appropriate tools. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Connect power-supply circuits to fire control, sonar, radio, and other electronic equipment. Install conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws. Thread wires through conduit to connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels. Use a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment. Test voltage, resistance, and circuits using indicators and meters.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a commercial, industrial or maritime setting. 1 year of maritime experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints. Experience using standard electrician equipment (meters, gauges, hand tools etc.). Willing to work at heights and in confined spaces in different weather conditions. Position may be required to work either day or night shifts based on shipyard needs. Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols in a marine environment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must be able to pass a hair follicle test and background check.
