Job Description

Skillforce is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician - Manufacturing to support day-to-day maintenance at a busy manufacturing facility in the Richmond, VA area. This is a full-time, hands-on role keeping production equipment and the building running safely and efficiently.
Pay:
$24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience Full-time, hourly, overtime available based on production needs
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, steady daytime shift Occasional extra hours for priority repairs or projects
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair older shop and production machinery to minimize downtime Perform light electrical work inside the facility, including basic wiring, equipment hookups, and minor upgrades (not a new-construction electrician role) Handle basic carpentry and general building maintenance to keep the facility safe and functional Assist with small facility improvement projects and additions as directed by leadership Keep work areas organized, document repairs, and communicate clearly about parts, priorities, and safety issues
Qualifications:
Solid electrical background with hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Comfortable troubleshooting older equipment and tracking down intermittent issues with minimal supervision General maintenance skills across carpentry and building repairs, not just electrical Steady, even-tempered work style, able to handle organized chaos in a busy production shop Reliable transportation to the Richmond, VA area and consistent work history
