Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential electrical work and a strong understanding of electrical safety and regulations. This role will involve installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings, including commercial and industrial facilities.Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and inspect electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Use a variety of power tools, including drills, saws, and wire strippers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Use electrical test equipment, such as an ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter, to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Adhere to all relevant electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Collaborate with other professionals, including construction workers and carpenters, to complete projects.
- Work safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical technology.
- Current and valid electrician license.
- Proficiency with commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Familiarity with power tools and electrical test equipment.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
