WA 02 Senior Residential Electrician - Battery Backup, Solar & Hybrid Systems Clean Energy Innovators Seattle, WA Job Details Part-time $60 - $75 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Customer relationship building Electrical License Working as an electrician Customer service Electrical systems installation Supervising experience Crew management Project leadership
Full Job Description Schedule:
Flexible, project-based role with steady ongoing work Typical hours: Part time 25-35 hours/week, with some 40+ hour weeks on larger projects
Location:
Puget Sound / Western Washington residential projects License required: Active Washington 02 Residential Electrician license (01 also considered with strong SFR experience) Clean Energy Innovators is hiring a licensed WA 02 residential electrician for custom residential battery backup, solar, smart load, and hybrid energy projects across the Puget Sound area. This is not production work. It is not routine service work. It is definitely not boring, repetitive work. Our exciting projects involve high-quality residential battery backup systems, solar integration, protected loads, smart load controls, generator integration, panel work, and field problem-solving in finished homes using your clever wiring and conduit techniques. We are looking for an experienced electrician who wants more interesting work than repetitive installs, can take ownership on site, and takes pride in doing clean, beautiful craftsmanship. What makes this role different Most electrical work is built around speed and volume. Our work is built around attention to detail, elegant problem-solving, and high-quality implementation. Every project requires careful thinking about how the home will actually function when the grid goes down. That means understanding the electrical panel, the loads being backed up, the inverter, the batteries, the solar array, smart load equipment, and generator integration. The right person will enjoy that kind of work. You should be comfortable looking at a real residential situation, thinking through the electrical details, and helping deliver a backup system that performs the way the homeowner expects. What you'll be doing Leading the electrical side of residential battery backup and solar installations Working with existing panels, backup circuits, protected loads, inverters, batteries, and related equipment Supporting smart load control and generator-integrated backup systems Helping solve layout, code, inspection, and field-condition questions Coordinating with a small experienced solar and battery crew Communicating professionally with homeowners when needed Helping deliver high-quality installations that earn 5-star reviews What we're looking for Active WA 02 Residential Electrician license (01 considered with SFR experience) At least 5 years of residential electrical experience, 10-20+ years preferred Strong comfort with panel work, residential NEC requirements, and inspection requirements Ability to make good electrical decisions in real-world field conditions Amazing communication with homeowners, management and crew members Ability to take ownership of the electrical side of a project Battery, solar, or generator experience is preferred, but not absolutely required Passion for earning homeowner 5-star reviews Why this may be a strong fit This role is for an electrician who wants strong pay, flexibility, and more technically interesting residential work. You will not be doing the same cookie-cutter install every day. Our projects are custom, battery-first, and designed around real homeowner backup needs. Some jobs are focused partial-backup systems or solar-only. Others include broader whole-home backup, smart load controls, solar recharge, and generator support. The work is hands-on, technical, and customer-facing. The right electrician will be treated as a key part of the project leadership, not just someone sent out to pull wire. What we offer $60-$75/hour, based on experience Flexible project-based schedule Ongoing residential battery and solar work Typical average project is 25-30 hours per week, although larger projects can take 40+ hours with some overtime common during busy periods. Usually no Mondays or weekends, sometimes Fridays off You will be a part of a small, inclusive team of experienced entrepreneurs and your ideas will be embraced as we plan company strategy, make critical decisions and adopt best practices. Interesting custom residential work, not production-style solar Small, professional, autonomous crew High-quality projects in the Puget Sound area Opportunity to work in one of the most important growth areas in residential electrical: battery backup, solar integration, smart load control, and home energy resilience About our company Clean Energy Innovators is a lean, engineering-led clean energy company with a 5-star reputation for careful design, clean installations, and excellent homeowner experience.
