Residential Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview Bearcat is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing HVAC and electrical team in Spokane. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and light commercial electrical systems related to heating, cooling, and comfort solutions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-minded, and experienced working independently and alongside HVAC technicians. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components for HVAC equipment Diagnose electrical issues and perform troubleshooting on residential and light commercial systems Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications Ensure all work complies with NEC codes, local regulations, and company safety standards Install panels, breakers, disconnects, circuits, thermostats, and related electrical equipment Communicate professionally with customers regarding work performed and recommendations Coordinate with HVAC installers and service technicians on project completion Maintain accurate job documentation and material usage records Participate in on-call rotations or emergency service work as needed Qualifications Valid Washington State Journeyman Electrician License (01 or applicable specialty) Minimum 3-5 years of electrical experience preferred Experience with residential HVAC electrical systems strongly preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Valid driver's license and clean driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions Preferred Skills HVAC electrical integration experience Generator, heat pump, or smart thermostat installation knowledge Experience using mobile field service software Knowledge of energy-efficient electrical systems and controls Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance options Paid time off and holidays Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities Supportive team environment Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday with occasional overtime or on-call work

$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
