Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new construction, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality results. All work is local. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Maintain compliance with NEC standards and local electrical codes during all phases of work. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Demonstrate handyman skills when needed for miscellaneous repairs or adjustments on-site. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Skills Extensive experience working as an electrician in commercial and residential environments with a strong understanding of NEC regulations. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers as well as power tools for installation and repair tasks. Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters effectively. Knowledge of schematic diagrams for complex electrical systems and the ability to interpret them accurately. Strong background in commercial electrical prefered. Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures related to high voltage and low voltage installations.
