HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Low Voltage Electrical Technician (Truck & Equipment Electrical Systems) Burke Truck & Equipment Inc. is a growing, family-owned company specializing in the upfitting, service, and repair of municipal snow removal trucks and equipment. We install and maintain electrical and hydraulic systems including lighting, plow and spreader controls, accessories, and custom equipment. Job Description We are seeking an Low Voltage Electrical Technician to join our shop team. This position focuses on installing, wiring, servicing, and troubleshooting vehicle and equipment electrical systems on municipal snow removal trucks. ⚠ This is NOT a licensed electrician position. Automotive, truck, equipment, or hands-on electrical experience is ideal. Training is available for the right candidate. Responsibilities Install and wire lighting systems, plow controls, spreader controls, and accessories Assemble electrical components for new truck builds Configure and set parameters on hydraulic and electronic controls Diagnose and repair electrical issues on trucks and equipment Read wiring diagrams and maintain clean, professional wiring practices Tools & Work Environment Modern shop equipment provided (soldering equipment, specialty tools, diagnostic software, drill presses, saws, etc.) Basic hand tools required Qualifications Electrical or mechanical experience preferred (automotive, truck, equipment, or similar) Ability to troubleshoot and work with wiring, relays, connectors, and controllers Willingness to learn and grow into a lead role over time Licensed electrician not required
