  • Full-time Journeyman Electrician Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Electrician, where you'll be at the forefront of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair across diverse construction and renovation projects.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in both commercial and industrial settings, ensuring electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes. Your hands-on skills will contribute to building and maintaining reliable electrical infrastructure that powers our clients' operations and facilities. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation projects using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes. Read blueprints and schematics to plan electrical layouts for construction or renovation projects. Utilize construction site experience to coordinate with other trades like frame carpentry and general contractors for seamless project execution. Conduct safety inspections on-site, adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Assist with schematic interpretation for complex electrical systems involving power distribution and control wiring. Perform low voltage wiring for communication systems, security alarms, or building automation controls. Experience Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with a strong understanding of NEC standards. Hands-on experience working on construction sites, renovations, or new builds involving electrical systems installation. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for precise work execution. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, along with power tools like drills and saws. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in industrial settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of low voltage systems including security alarms or communication wiring is a plus. Ability to interpret high voltage and low voltage electrical drawings accurately while maintaining safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through troubleshooting electrical issues using ohmmeters or other diagnostic tools. Construction experience that includes framing carpentry or handyman skills is beneficial for versatile project support.
