Job Description

We are immediately hiring an experienced Journeyman Industrial Electrician for our 1st shift team. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. Position Summary The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex industrial electrical systems. This includes automated equipment, control systems, and robotic manufacturing cells. The ideal candidate will ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in machinery, control systems, and robotics Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications Install and connect motors, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, and control systems Bend conduit, run wiring, and complete electrical hookups to code Test electrical systems and components for continuity, voltage, and resistance Analyze equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions Maintain and service AC/DC motors, starters, relays, solenoids, and limit switches Troubleshoot and repair lighting, power circuits, and welding equipment Support installation of new capital equipment and upgrades to existing systems Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate documentation Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician License required 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience preferred Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and safety standards Experience with industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in physically demanding environments Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in industrial settings
