Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various residential new homes and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential new and old housing using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Work with low voltage systems, ensuring proper connections and safety protocols are followed. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general construction tasks as needed. Maintain compliance with NEC standards while working on new installations or upgrades on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently; document all work performed. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license in w. Proven experience as a residential and/or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills are a must. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical wiring. Familiarity with NEC regulations, ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and schematic interpretation. Experience working on construction sites, renovation projects, or similar environments. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings; troubleshooting experience is a must. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
