Full Job Description Essential Functions and Duties of Position Quantity Take-off:
Quantify physical components of projects for pricing Develop unit prices for components of a project Subcontractor solicitation Building Information Modeling Generate renderings and virtual logistics plans Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors Systems & Process Has proficiency in estimating software systems including: Timberline Isqft On Screen Take-off Has working knowledge of design software systems AutoCad Revit Bentley Navisworks Sketch-up Pro Has proficiency in basic management software systems Word Excel Customers, Consultants, Subcontractor & Supplier Relations Establishes and maintains relationships with design consultants, subcontractors and suppliers Actively participates in industry events Corporate Evolution Develops, trains and mentors subordinates Encourages, participates in industry-related events & professional associations Ensures positive exposure to community Corporate Culture Interacts with professionalism and pro-activism Embraces BLHI Corporate Values Serves as role model for subordinates Education/Experience 5-10 years of experience in a relative estimating environment Requires a college degree in a relevant major of study Mental Effort Considerable, sustained concentration with frequent interruptions Physical Effort Requires moderate, varied physical effort and dexterity including; sitting, standing, walking, seeing 20/20 with correction, talking hearing (with or without aid) and ability and utilize a mouse. Working Conditions Small private office with public contact/fellow employees
