Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, from initial bid to final proposal. Your expertise will help drive project success by ensuring competitive pricing, thorough analysis, and effective communication with clients and subcontractors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects across diverse sectors while utilizing your skills in construction estimating, negotiation, and project management. Your energy and precision will be key drivers in delivering exceptional results that meet client expectations and project budgets. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using estimating . Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements thoroughly. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs utilizing Bluebeam and other digital tools to ensure accuracy in pricing. Prepare detailed bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Assist in contract review and support contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for the company. Monitor project costs during execution to support cost control efforts and identify potential overruns early. Maintain organized records of estimates, bid submissions, and related documentation for future reference and audits. Support project management teams with accurate cost forecasting and budget updates throughout the construction process. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial construction projects, with a solid understanding of the entire project lifecycle. Proficiency in construction estimating software. Strong knowledge of Bluebeam for digital plan review and quantity takeoff processes. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve optimal pricing solutions. Hands-on experience with construction site activities, including understanding of construction management practices and site safety protocols. Familiarity with contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills combined with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise estimates and clear documentation.
