Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Estimator to join our Estimating Department in El Mirage, AZ. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural steel estimating who can step in and contribute quickly to bid preparation and project costing. This is not an entry-level or trainee position. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in structural steel estimating and be comfortable working on bid proposals with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for structural steel projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate takeoffs Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary project information Assist in developing competitive pricing strategies for bids Maintain organized documentation of estimates and bid submissions Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools

Qualifications:

Proven experience in structural steel estimating (required) Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Experience with takeoffs, bid preparation, and project costing Familiarity with estimating software (ability to learn company systems quickly) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
