We are expanding and we are looking for a Masonry Estimator to join our Team within a fast-paced environment. This position will be located at our Headquarters located near McQueen & Guadalupe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with residential masonry projects, ensuring competitive bids, and contributing to the overall success of our construction endeavors. As a Residential Masonry Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing project specifications, conducting material take-offs, and deliver precise and comprehensive project estimates. Successful candidates for this role will have at least three years of masonry experience, be self-motivated, and pay precise attention to detail.
Overview of Duties:
Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to gain a thorough understanding of the work scope On-Screen Take Offs Review & evaluate requests for estimates, construction documents, & invitations to bid Manage bid calendar Perform detailed material take-offs to determine the quantities of masonry materials, labor, and equipment hours required for each project Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and salespeople Collaborate with suppliers to obtain up-to-date pricing information for materials Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential masonry projects Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, project timelines, and any special considerations Work closely with superintendents to clarify project requirements and specifications Experience/Requirements At least 3 years of estimating experience Minimum 3 years of masonry field experience Strong understanding of masonry construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Must be able to work well on a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of estimating Extensive knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards relevant to masonry construction Ability to understand technical drawings and plan requirements
