Commercial Estimator Role:

MRB is looking to add a dynamic, motivated, and diligent Commercial Estimator with strong attention to detail to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset with the ability to visualize the finished product as well as a strong background in commercial roofing, consulting, and cost estimating. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Determine key variables for costs and other estimates
• Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, and vendors
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, equipment, etc.
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
• Provide clients and stakeholders with thorough explanations of pricing and cost details based
• Provide estimates of projected maintenance costs and expected product lifetime
• Monitor progress of existing projects
• Follow up on estimates and confirm outcome
• Develop good working relationships with current clients to ensure full quality and satisfaction
• Develop new clients; maintain and grow ongoing business relationships through direct and frequent communication
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.
• Other job-related assignments as requested

Requirements:

• Five (5) or more years of experience in commercial roofing, preferably re-roofing
• Prior experience reading plans, specs, and reference documents a plus
• Flexibility to travel to job sites or vendors is required
• Thorough knowledge of contract relationships, subcontracting and vendor relations
• Strong computer proficiency
• Ability to work independently and with minimal management
• Understanding of the commercial construction process
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
