Estimator - Commercial Construction A growing and highly respected commercial general contractor is confidentially seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys the preconstruction process, understands the importance of accuracy and strategy, and can effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, bid documents, and RFPs Analyze project scope, constructability, labor, materials, and overall project costs Coordinate with architects, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the preconstruction process Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Develop and manage bid packages, scope sheets, and bid leveling documentation Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions Track project costs against estimates and historical pricing data Assist in developing competitive proposals and supporting preconstruction strategy Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders during estimating and preconstruction phases Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred Equivalent industry experience will also be considered 3+ years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and project delivery Preferred Skills Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, Destini Estimator, Primavera P6, or similar construction software Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple deadlines This company values teamwork, professionalism, continuous improvement, and individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality work.
