Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Landscape Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and supporting the bidding process for commercial landscaping projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. The estimator will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver precise and comprehensive proposals that align with project specifications and budget expectations. Duties Prepare detailed construction estimates for commercial landscape projects using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software. Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and cost implications. Develop accurate pricing strategies considering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines and site conditions. Conduct negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Assist in contract review and management to ensure compliance with project requirements. Monitor cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to prevent budget overruns. Support project management activities by providing cost analysis, change order evaluations, and risk assessments. Maintain organized documentation of estimates, contracts, and related correspondence for future reference. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating within the landscaping or construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients. Ability to interpret complex plans, drawings, and specifications accurately. Experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and budget management for large-scale projects. Construction site experience is highly desirable to understand on-the-ground realities affecting estimates. Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Knowledge of construction management practices to ensure seamless project delivery from estimation through completion.
