This role combines the critical functions of accurately estimating electrical project costs and managing electrical construction projects from inception to completion. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success through precise cost analysis, effective negotiation, and seamless project execution. Your expertise in electrical systems, construction management, and contract negotiations will drive efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction across diverse projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex electrical initiatives while fostering professional growth within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope using tools such as Procore , HeavyBid and Bluebeam software. Develop accurate pricing strategies for electrical materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure competitive bids. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to optimize project budgets and timelines. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and resolve scope or cost discrepancies. Oversee electrical project management activities including scheduling, resource allocation, cost control, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery. Review construction drawings for compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and identify potential design or constructability issues early on. Monitor project costs throughout execution, implementing cost control measures to stay within budget while maintaining quality standards. Manage contractual documentation, change orders, and project correspondence to ensure clear communication and legal compliance. Lead on-site construction activities by collaborating with construction managers and site teams to uphold safety protocols and quality assurance practices. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems; familiarity with construction site operations is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), contracts, project management principles, and construction management practices. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam for digital plan review is a plus. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and clients while maintaining professional relationships. Solid understanding of electrical systems design, installation processes, and safety standards within the construction industry. Ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical specifications, and contract documents accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and managing client expectations.
