Overview Join our dynamic team as a Restoration Estimator and play a vital role in delivering exceptional restoration solutions for clients facing property damage. In this energetic and detail-oriented position, you will evaluate damage assessments, prepare accurate cost estimates, and collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will help transform challenging situations into successful restorations, making a tangible difference in people's lives while advancing your career in the construction and restoration industry. Duties Review project scopes, blueprints, photographs, and damage reports to develop comprehensive restoration estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes. Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage severity, gather measurements, and verify scope of work for accurate pricing. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and insurance adjusters to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations. Maintain precise records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to each project for transparency and accountability. Assist in cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring expenses and adjusting estimates as needed. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on restoration or similar fields. Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes. Proficiency with Bluebeam for document markup and collaboration; experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing while maintaining quality standards. Hands-on construction site experience to accurately assess damage and scope of work. Familiarity with cost control strategies to manage budgets effectively throughout projects. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and damage reports clearly and precisely.
