Job Description

Project Manager / Estimator - Mass Grading, Excavation & Underground Utilities Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to oversee and estimate mass grading, excavation, site development, and underground utility projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through completion, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, client communication, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution. Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates and bid proposals for mass grading, excavation, sitework, and underground utility projects. Review plans, specifications, and project documents to determine scope, quantities, and pricing. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Develop project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts. Manage projects from award through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Monitor project progress, production, and financial performance. Process change orders, contract modifications, and project documentation. Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as required. Maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management within heavy civil construction. Experience with mass grading, excavation, earthwork, site development, and underground utility projects. Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
