Job Title:
Estimator Job Overview:
The Estimator will collaborate with the inside sales, outside sales, and bid desk teams to review plans, identify products we sell, and calculate quantities for accurate quotations. This role involves uploading and downloading data from various websites and requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in mechanical concepts.Key Responsibilities:
Acquire a thorough understanding of Haldeman Inc.'s operations through various training resources. Organize and maintain documents, plans, orders, and quotations efficiently. Work effectively in a dynamic, noisy environment. Promote a collaborative team-oriented work culture. Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions. Ensure legible handwriting for clear documentation. Leverage mechanical aptitude when evaluating product specifications. Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems, internet research, and use of calculators. Apply strong math skills to product counts and quotations. Maintain a meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in manufacturer training, including factory visits (local and out-of-state). Training may require travel by car or plane. Attend monthly or bi-monthly sales meetings, typically scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to stay updated on new products, methods, and industry best practices. Occasionally visit customers or job sites for take-offs or to enhance customer relations. This may involve physical tasks such as climbing ladders or walking on roofs.Training Schedule and Work Hours:
Training will include reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, developing processes for product identification, and documenting counts. On-site training will take place at our Commerce location.Regular work schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (8-hour shift).Ideal Candidate Traits:
