This role analyzes project specifications, drawings, labor requirements, materials, and timelines to develop detailed proposals that support profitable and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs and quantify labor requirements
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and scope summaries
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure estimates align with company standards
• Track project costs and compare actual performance against estimates
• Maintain organized documentation of bids, revisions, and historical cost data
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks when required
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project competitiveness Qualifications
• 2+ years of estimating experience (industry-specific experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor pricing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
