About the
Role:
Jemby Electric is looking for an intermediate-level, driven, and detail-focused Jr. Electrical Estimator to join our sales team. This position is a great fit for someone who knows electrical systems, enjoys problem-solving, working with numbers, and developing a long-term career in the electrical services industry. In this role, you will assist with preparing accurate estimates for small installs to complex, design build jobs. You will work on own the estimating process from initial bid through project handoff and turn project scopes into clear, executable plans. Responsibilities include performing takeoffs, reviewing plans and specifications, forecasting costs, supporting bid submissions, and collaborating with both internal teams and clients. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is eager to learn, grow professionally, and advance into a senior estimating position within a company committed to quality workmanship, innovation, and exceptional service.
What You'll Do:
Help prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects. Review bid packages, drawings, specs, and SOW. Perform detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment. Identify scope gaps, risks, and missing information early in the process Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and build relationships Support project lifecycle including procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders Maintain clean, organized documentation for estimates and project files Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to align scope and design Communicate clearly with clients, field teams, and leadership Help ensure smooth handoff from estimating to execution with no surprises
What We're Looking For:
2-3 years of estimating experience (commercial/industrial) Deep knowledge of electrical systems Proven ability to build complete estimates from start to finish Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines with oversight Clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams Valid California driver's license Compensation

    $70K
  • $80K Assist with takeoffs, pricing, and estimate preparation under guidance Develop understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents Learn to identify scope gaps and project risks with support from senior team members Coordinate vendor and supplier pricing for assigned projects Maintain organized and accurate estimating documentation $80K
  • $90K Prepares portions of estimates independently with minimal oversight Growing understanding of electrical systems and project scope Identifies common scope gaps, inconsistencies, and pricing considerations Communicates effectively with vendors, field teams, and project managers Produces reliable and competitive estimate support documentation $90K
  • $95K Independently manages estimates from start to finish Demonstrates strong attention to detail in takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation Understands project sequencing, labor considerations, and material costing Supports building accurate and competitive proposals Shows readiness for advancement into a full Electrical Estimator role
