We are seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to join our team and help drive accurate, competitive project pricing for our commercial clients.
Position Summary:
The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial projects, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project proposal execution. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of construction & commercial project costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to prepare take-offs & detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Research and obtain pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors. Prepare bid proposals, scope of work, and cost breakdowns. Maintain and update estimating databases, cost histories, and project files. Monitor project budgets and assist in value engineering opportunities to optimize costs, if necessary. Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed to explain estimates and answer questions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator in construction & custom commercial cabinetry Strong knowledge of cost estimation methods, construction materials, labor, and project management principles. Proficiency in reading architectural plans, completing take-offs from said plans, Excel & AutoCAD. Cabinet Vision proficiency would be a big plus. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
