Job Description

Estimator Job Purpose The Estimator is responsible for acquiring new work with accurate and competitive cost estimates by thoroughly reviewing project plans, assessing job requirements, and working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure bids are both profitable and competitive.
Duties and Responsibilities Project Estimation:
Review project plans, specifications, and scopes of work Perform site visits to assess surface conditions and job complexities Develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates Prepare and submit competitive bids in a timely manner Estimate labor hours based on application methods and project conditions Research and apply industry-standard production rates, utilizing historical data Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services Evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate for best pricing and terms Maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors Work closely with project managers and field teams to align estimates with execution strategies Participate in pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs Communicate estimate details and cost breakdowns effectively Ensure estimates adhere to industry standards, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines Maintain organized records of all bids, estimates, and supporting documentation Ensure estimating processes are upheld and adhered to, including reviewing procedures Experience Bachelor's degree or Higher Education (Preferred) Proven work experience as an Industrial Paint Estimator or similar role Experience with Estimating Excellent Computer skills Excellent communication skills Outstanding organizational skills
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
