Commercial Construction / General Contracting About Us We are a growing California General Contracting company seeking a motivated, experienced and detail oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, soliciting subcontractor bids, and supporting project management throughout the preconstruction process. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals. Prepare bid packages and proposal documents. Identify scope gaps, conflicts, and value engineering opportunities. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed. Assist with project handoff to operations after award. Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information. Transmit permit applications and coordinate permit-related documentation. Monitor and identify bidding opportunities through Builders Exchange and other bidding platforms. Review and understand public works contract requirements, bid documents, and compliance obligations. Qualifications Construction estimating experience preferred. Familiarity with California public works projects and contracts. Experience using Builders Exchange and other online plan rooms. Knowledge of permit submission and tracking processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with estimating software is a plus. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Compensation & Benefits Negotiable salary based on experience & skills. Hourly - no commission. Medical, Dental and Vision benefits. Pay:

$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
