Construction experience is essential. A combination of manufacturing, labs and office space construction will be involved. The detailed responsibilities for this role require solid strength in cost engineering, and reporting, as well as strong communication skills to facilitate meetings with cross-functional groups.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Assist the PM with trending and forecasting of construction direct costs and staff/general conditions costs. Assist PM with evaluation and disposition of submitted CM and Subcontractor Change Orders (i.e. scope, unit rates, quantity reviews, etc.). Ensure total capital cost/schedule impacts are estimated. Establish metrics for evaluating progress. Support evaluation of status against the baseline schedule; provide analysis for assessment. Assist PM with review of CM invoices; verify progress claimed and compliance with commercial/contract terms. Assist PM with the Commercial Evaluations for CM procured items (Subcontracts and Equipment) and Owner procured items (Casework, Furniture, Equipment, etc.) Assist the PM with tracking commitments/expenditures and forecasting any Owner procured Equipment not under the construction firms' responsibility. - track all project Purchase Orders in Owner procurement system.
Invoice approvals/payments Develop and Manage executive status reports. Update project cost reports, track total (EPC, Owner's costs) commitments, expenditures and forecasts against approved project funding. Provide analysis to PM for evaluation. Prepare monthly reports for PM review. Prepare overall project cost and schedule status slides for monthly Principals/Sponsors meetings (if required). Assist PM with estimate development. Includes analysis, preparation for Cost Risk Assessments, and presentation for submittal/approval. Implement and oversee the project Change Management system (after completion of BOD). Track project contingency budgets and usage throughout the duration of the project. Provide analysis to PM for evaluation. Maintain the project reporting calendar and financial month-end dates. Update total project cash flow projections, provide information for monthly accruals and reconcile expenditures. Support Cost Segregation at end of project. Review
- Development and coordination of the integrated baseline EPC schedule. Review
- Updating and analysis of the integrated EPC schedule
- critical path, forecast completion dates, areas of concern, status of key milestones, etc.
Provide feedback to the PM for evaluation. Support Schedule Risk Analysis. Baseline analysis and periodic updates as required. Establish cost and schedule management procedures for CM services. Conduct Project Controls alignment meeting.
Requirements Qualifications:
Strong communication and presentation capabilities: written and verbal Demonstrate team spirit and strong dedication to the success of the team. Multiple large-scale complex project experience or program experience Knowledge in the construction of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems. Knowledge and Experience working with Financial Systems and managing large data from Financial Systems Experience working with Finance Groups Experience with cost control/engineering.
