Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Estimator, where your expertise will drive project success from initial concept to final budget. In this vital role, you will analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates that align with client expectations and company standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget, fostering strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and project management. Duties Review architectural drawings, engineering documents, and project specifications to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that meet project budgets and objectives. Develop comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline scope, costs, schedules, and assumptions. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify quantities, and gather real-time data for accurate estimations. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids while maintaining strong relationships built on trust and transparency. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual documents to mitigate risks and clarify scope of work. Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that inform scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement planning. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and contract administration. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Familiarity with cost control methodologies and pricing strategies for diverse construction projects. Hands-on experience conducting site visits for quantity takeoffs and site assessments.
