Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects from the ground up. As a key player in our project development process, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure bids are competitive and profitable. Duties Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate favorable terms. Develop detailed bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and contingency allowances. Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and pricing analysis to ensure estimates are precise and competitive. Monitor project budgets and perform cost control analysis throughout the construction process to prevent overruns. Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms, scope changes, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Support project management teams by providing accurate estimations that align with project schedules and resource planning. Stay informed about market trends, material prices, labor rates, and industry best practices to refine estimating accuracy. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools is essential. Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management processes. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms. Strong analytical skills for detailed quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and budget monitoring. Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand on-the-ground realities that impact estimates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
