Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drafter / Junior Estimator to join our dynamic design and construction team. In this role, you will assist in creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and system designs that support our project development from concept through execution. Your contributions will be vital in translating client needs into accurate visual representations, ensuring seamless communication across teams. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Create schematic diagrams and technical schematics to support project planning and execution. Assist in preparing accurate material take-offs and cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to interpret design concepts into precise drafting layouts. Utilize tools like SketchUp, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max to produce visualizations, renderings, and presentations for clients and internal teams. Support system design efforts across various disciplines including mechanical, interior, graphic design, and construction systems. Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation to ensure version control and accessibility. Qualifications Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (including Grasshopper), ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or SolidWorks is essential. Experience with SketchUp and Bluebeam is highly desirable for visualization and markup tasks. Strong understanding of drafting standards, schematics creation, and technical documentation processes. Knowledge of construction practices, interior design principles, mechanical design concepts, and system integration is a plus. Familiarity with 2D animation or graphic design tools can enhance presentation quality. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. A background or coursework in architecture, engineering, interior design or related fields is preferred.
