Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will lead the electrical estimating process for bidding and managing "Affordable Housing" multi-unit projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bid through project completion by coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop comprehensive estimates that reflect project scope, specifications, and market conditions. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for Affordable Housing residential projects using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam and if successful, Project Manage. Analyze project plans, specifications (including NEC standards), and contract documents to determine scope of work and material requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate cost proposals and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and cost control strategies throughout the bidding process. Review contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements related to construction estimating and electrical work. Utilize construction management tools to track bid progress, update estimates, and maintain detailed records for future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in electrical systems; NEC standards knowledge is essential. Proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly preferred. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, cost control methods, and project management practices. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms. Extensive electrical site experience combined with construction site management skills. Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail; ability to interpret complex plans and technical specifications accurately. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
