Diego Castellanos Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, analyzing costs, and providing accurate cost estimates for construction, manufacturing, or other related projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of industry standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project manager, Supervisors and clients to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and other related documents to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. Prepare and submit detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses. Collaborate with project manager, supervisors, and vendors to gather relevant data and ensure estimates reflect the true scope of the project. Analyze historical data and trends to forecast future project costs and potential risks. Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate existing conditions and determine project feasibility. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions to optimize budgets. Maintain and update a database of cost information, including labor rates, material prices, and subcontractor costs. Provide support during the bidding process by reviewing bids, preparing bid comparisons, and assisting in final bid submissions. Ensure that estimates are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with project timelines.Required Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as an estimator, preferably in Pipeline Industry. Strong understanding of industry standards, pricing structures, and cost estimation techniques. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform site visits, which may involve walking or standing for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs if necessary for certain site inspections. •PLEASE SPECIFY WHAT JOB POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR
