Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales & Estimator to join our growing construction team. This pivotal role combines proactive sales development with precise project estimation, ensuring our projects are competitive, profitable, and aligned with client needs. As a key contributor, you will leverage your construction knowledge and negotiation skills to foster strong client relationships, prepare accurate cost estimates, and support project planning from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence project success while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities by engaging with prospective clients and maintaining existing relationships through effective communication and follow-up. Prepare detailed construction estimates utilizing software such as Joist, Angi leads or similar estimating software, ensuring accuracy in pricing, scope, and cost control measures. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for comprehensive bids. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts thoroughly to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable agreements that align with company objectives. Explain scope of work to Project Manager, project handoff to project manager. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, with familiarity using Joist or equivalent software. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and clients. Hands-on construction site experience is highly preferred to understand project realities firsthand. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
