Responsibilities Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive HVAC estimates that align with project requirements and client expectations. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes. Engage in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Review construction contracts and scope of work documents to ensure accurate cost control and risk mitigation throughout the bidding process. Collaborate closely with project management teams to develop accurate project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Conduct site visits when necessary to gather on-the-ground information that influences pricing and project planning. Maintain thorough records of all estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation for future reference and analysis. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is essential for accurate bid preparation. Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality or safety standards. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes specific to HVAC systems within commercial projects. Experience with construction site operations, project management practices, and contract administration.
