Full Job Description Position Overview:
Jumpstart your construction career as a Junior Estimator with QPA Inc.! In this fast-paced role, you'll be right in the action — helping our estimating team keep up with a high volume of bids and turning out accurate takeoffs, pricing, and proposals. It's the perfect opportunity for someone who's ready to learn the ropes, grow their skills, and be part of a solid, experienced team at a company that's making big moves in the plumbing industry
Key Responsibilities:
Assist estimators in reviewing plans, specifications, and addenda for bidding Perform material and fixture takeoffs using estimating software Help build bid packages and maintain organized bid folders Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing Maintain internal bid logs and timelines Coordinate with project managers and purchasing when transitioning awarded bids Support in bid follow-up, post-bid reviews, and value engineering exercises
Qualifications:
1-2 years of estimating or construction experience (plumbing experience a plus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to read construction blueprints (or willing to learn quickly) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PDF markup tools (Bluebeam or PlanSwift a plus) Excellent communication and time management skills Dependable, honest, and eager to learn Must be a trusted and responsible team player with a strong work ethic
