Asphalt & Slurry Seal Estimator

Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site evaluations of asphalt and roadway maintenance projects, including measuring, inspecting, and assessing surface conditions Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for: Slurry Seal Chip Seal Asphalt Paving Pavement Repairs Striping and roadway maintenance services Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and GreenBook requirements Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, contractors, public agencies, and HOAs Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and assist in securing awarded work Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure smooth scheduling and successful project execution Track leads, bids, and project opportunities using CRM tools and spreadsheets Support subcontractor and supplier bidding processes as needed Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after project completion Support business development efforts and identify new growth opportunities

Qualifications Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in asphalt maintenance, slurry seal, chip seal, pavement preservation, asphalt paving, or road striping • 3+ years in Public works experience preferred

Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in reading plans, specifications, and GreenBook requirements Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong basic math and quantity take-off skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with estimating software or CRM systems is a plus
