We're representing a highly respected Mechanical, Electrical, and Water Infrastructure contractor that is continuing to grow across Colorado and the wider U.S. market. They are seeking a skilled Estimator to help drive project wins, support operational success, and play a critical role from pursuit through to project handoff. What You'll Be Doing:
Develop accurate and competitive trade-specific estimates for water infrastructure projects Prepare detailed material, labor, and equipment takeoffs Review drawings, specifications, bid packages, and addenda Identify scope gaps, project risks, exclusions, and constructability concerns Collaborate closely with sales, preconstruction, operations, engineering, and field teams Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Support bid strategy, value engineering, and proposal development Assemble estimate packages and bid tabulations within project deadlines Participate in site walks and validate project requirements Ensure estimates align with codes, regulations, and client standards Maintain organized pricing databases and benchmarking tools Support project turnover from estimating into operations Contribute to a strong safety-first culture focused on zero incidents
What We're Looking For:
7+ years of estimating or related construction experience Strong understanding of construction estimating methodologies and pricing strategies Experience working on mechanical, electrical, utility, or water infrastructure projects Ability to independently manage complex or high-value estimates Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction/technical experience preferred
