Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Masonry Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for masonry projects, including brick, stone, concrete block, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help drive successful project planning, bidding, and execution by providing precise pricing and cost control insights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values innovation and precision. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive masonry estimates. Utilize estimating software such as OST to prepare detailed bids and proposals. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimation. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing and scope of work. Prepare detailed cost analyses covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Manage contract documents, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability and efficiency. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on masonry or related trades. Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices. Proficiency in On Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Office, and other estimating or project management software tools. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and material requirements. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Familiarity with cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry. Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
